Interestingly enough none of them wears one which has given its “lettres de noblesse” to the Daytona, that is the hand wound models of the sixties and seventies. Obviously showing off is more important than History. I doubt that Rolex would use anyone of these people to endorse the brand in the ads figuring the now famous baseline “a Rolex watch doesn’t only give the time, it tells a story”
I understand it is also the watch of choice for most illicit strret corner pharmaceutical retailers….
I like it, simple, understated. Obviously, they use these when timing their kids at swim meets.
Joking aside, I enjoy seeing what they chose, when they could choose almost anything.
I don’t know why I read this article. I’m not really that bothered who’s wearing one and I’m not that bothered about Rolex watches.
To me they’re too flashy yet still a bit boring. You can’t deny the build quality but as a watch it’s a good watch however as a fashion statement it’s definitely a statement.
