The New, Redesigned Baume & Mercier Hampton

Originally launched in 1994, the Baume & Mercier Hampton is the brand’s classic (yet contemporary) rectangular watch. The Hampton collection was inspired by a 1940s model and named after the elite East Coast holiday enclave to capture its laid-back approach to luxury. Over time, the collection has been available in a diverse range of styles and materials. The ‘accessible luxury’ Geneva-based brand now introduces new versions of the model with flairs of Art Deco for 2020.

Standing out with their rectangular case, mixing soft curves and flat surfaces, the new Baume & Mercier Hampton comes in three different sizes and four different models. The smaller size Hampton is equipped with a quartz movement. It is available in diverse styles in steel on a leather strap or on a three-link steel bracelet.

• 35 x 22,2 mm – small size – quartz movement
• 43 x 27.5 mm – medium size – automatic movement
• 48 x 31 mm – large size – automatic movements (2 different options)

There are three automatic versions with opaline and grained silver-coloured dials. The time-only medium-size model is presented in a 43mm x 22.2mm steel case. It is powered by the ETA 2671 showing the hours, minutes and seconds. The two other versions come in a larger 48mm x 31mm steel case. The first one houses the ETA 2895 with hours, minutes, small seconds and date. The second version is fitted with the Soprod TT651 with large date, second time zone and day/night indication. 

All three variations feature an exhibition caseback revealing their automatic movement decorated with traditional finishes, including circular graining and Geneva stripes. The black alligator leather straps are interchangeable. These are attached to the case with quick-release spring bars and fitted with safety triple-folding clasps.
