Bvlgari Aluminium Frecce Tricolori
A special edition aluminium model to support three Italian children’s hospitals.
On the occasion of Geneva Watch Days, Bvlgari brought back one of its iconic designs, presenting a modern take of the late 1990s innovative, sporty watch in aluminium and rubber. One of the Rome-based jeweller’s numerous charitable initiatives in this difficult period, Bvlgari now releases an exclusive limited series on behalf of three Italian children’s hospitals.
Revenue from the sale of the first 50 exclusive and numbered timepieces in the series will be donated entirely by Bvlgari to the “Un Dono dal Cielo” (A Gift from Heaven) fundraising project. Launched by the Aeronautica Militare to mark the centenary of the proclamation of the Madonna of Loreto as Patroness of all Aeronauts (scheduled for the whole of 2020 and extended to the end of 2021), the funds will support three Italian children’s hospitals – Giannina Gaslini in Genoa, Bambino Gesù in Rome and Santobono Pausilipon in Naples. The second 1,000-piece non-numbered series will be available internationally from December 2020. “Bvlgari has received a lot from Italy, and it’s only fair that Bvlgari should give back to Italy,” said Jean-Christophe Babin, CEO of the Bvlgari Group.
The Aeronautica Militare – like the other Armed Forces – devoted resources to support the rescue strategy put in place to deal with the COVID-19 emergency. For instance, the crews of the transport aircraft and the air rescue helicopters helped with the repatriation of compatriots from China and Japan, and the transfer of medical personnel and medical devices and equipment throughout the country.
For the occasion, the Bvlgari Aluminum Solo Tempo 40mm case is clad in dark blue rubber. Its warm grey dial is emblazoned with the TRICOLORE logo. Inside is the B77 automatic calibre (base ETA 2892) showing the hours, minutes, seconds and the date. A combination of blue rubber, aluminium links and buckle, the bracelet stands out for its distinctive look and great comfort.
The Bvlgari Aluminium Frecce Tricolori comes in a dedicated aluminium and rubber presentation box. It retails for EUR 3,050. For more information, please visit www.bulgari.com.
