Bvlgari Roma 130th Anniversary Limited Edition
Bvlgari might not be the first watch brand that most hard-core watch connoisseurs will think off. What we shouldn’t forget is that amidst of the quartz crisis in the 1970’s the Roman luxury brand Bvlgari introduced the Bvlgari Roma, and later the Bvlgari Bvlgari, which both have become very well-known iconic timepieces. To celebrate their 130th anniversary this year, Bvlgari introduces a new limited edition of that very first Bvlgari Roma.
It’s designed in the purest tradition of the original model, with a round 39mm case, featuring the recognizable bezel engraved with the “BVLGARI ROMA”. The Roma measures just 7.15 mm in height, and with such dimensions it’s a lovely classic dress watch. Inside ticks a self-winding movement that offers a 3-day power reserve when fully wound. The energy is stored in 2 main spring barrels. Calibre BVL 131M has hand beveled bridges and finishing, and is visible through a sapphire case-back.
The Bvlgari Roma 130th Anniversary Limited Edition comes in three version: 18K white gold with a dark blue lacquer dial and the other two in 18-carat pink gold adorned with a white or black lacquered dial. The lacquered dial with its subtly hand-applied hour-markers, and numerals at 12 and 6, is finely underscored by the Bvlgari signature. Each version is limited to 130 pieces and the recommended retail price is € 18.400 Euros.
