It’s Sunday, a perfect day to choose the color of your dress watch
Dress watch dials rarely venture beyond white, silver or black. A classic dress watch with a white dial and black leather strap is as formal as it gets (and it is most often a man’s first dress watch). Blue is also a fairly safe option that can be worn in nearly every circumstance. But, these do not have to be the only colors – especially if you are confident in your ability to carry off colors, or perhaps like to stand out. We’ve taken a look at three colored-dial dress watches.
Jaeger-LeCoultre – Master Ultra Thin Small Seconds Steel

Piaget – Altiplano Automatic 40 mm
Piaget unveiled several new versions of its iconic slim watch collection to celebrate the 60th anniversary of the Altiplano. Among these were their striking 40mm automatic versions with coloured dials, which debuted at SIHH 2017. Colorful, bold and elegant, these are fitted with gradient dials which the brand terms as ‘patinated’. The Altiplano 40mm is powered by the superb Piaget caliber 1203, an ultra-thin (3 mm) automatic with micro-rotor running at 3 Hz.
Quick facts: 40 mm yellow gold case – automatic (22K gold micro-rotor) movement caliber 1203 with hours, minutes and date. Alligator strap with folding buckle – € 25.700 EUR. Also available with a pink gold case and blue dial (€ 25.700 EUR) or white gold case and slate grey dial (€ 26.800 EUR).

H. Moser & Cie – Endeavour Concept Cosmic Green
Stripped of all frills and superfluous details, the H. Moser & Cie Endeavour concept is a refined classic with a twist. No numerals, no hour markers, not even the brand logo… The stark simplicity of its dial paired with their signature fume dials with gradient colors sets them apart. The movement is the caliber HMC 343 with manual winding and a healthy power reserve of 7 days (and a power reserve indication on the movement). Needless to say, the caliber HMC343 excels in technical merits and is superbly finished.
Quick facts: 40.8 mm gold case – manual movement caliber HMC 343 with hours, minutes and seconds. Alligator strap with folding buckle – CHF 24.000. The H. Moser & Cie concept has also been released with a white gold case.
