Frederique Constant Analytics Clip – Real Time Analytics For Your Mechanical Watch
Watch geeks everywhere pay attention; there’s a cool new tool for the Frederique Constant Analytics app and its available just in time for Christmas! Simply called the Frederique Constant Analytics Clip, this device attaches to just about any mechanical watch and allows the user to measure its accuracy in real time using the brand’s SwissConnect Analytics App, available on iOS and Android. Best of all it costs less than your next service and allows you to keep track of the accuracy measurements over time on a dashboard. It’s pretty cool if we do say so ourselves.
If you’ve ever spent any time in a hospital than you’re probably familiar with the modern day heart rate monitor; that little thing with the red light they clip to your finger to keep track of your heartbeat. Although they look small and kind of innocuous you can bet their expensive. It’s the same for traditional Time Measurement Devices that are normally reserved for use by watchmaking professionals wearing white lab coats. As such the idea of buying this type of machine for your home for recreational use has always seemed a little far-fetched.
With the Frederique Constant Analytics clip however you can now have a highly accurate time measurement device at home for less than the cost of a quartz-powered fashion watch. What is perhaps even more appealing than the price though is the fact that it’s so easy to use. You don’t even need to know the frequency of your movement, just attach the clip, open the app and select the frequency auto detect option.
Frederique Constant Analytics supports a wide range of frequencies, ranging from 14,400 VPH all the way up to 36,000 VPH, which covers the large majority of mechanical watches available on the market. Once the clip is attached and you’ve launched the app it only takes a few seconds for the Frederique Constant Analytics app to measure the precision of your mechanical watch, with an accuracy of at least ±0.2s/day. You can also analyse the performance of your watch over a longer period of time, i.e. 12 hours.
An oscilloscope shows the audio waveform in real time on your phone screen and the final result is then plotted on a chart, which can be saved for later reference (this data is also automatically backed up to the SwissConnect cloud so that it’s easy to transfer if you change phones.)
The Frederique Constant measuring clip will be available at Frederique Constant Authorized Retailers and through the Frederique Constant webstore for the princely sum of €99 Euros. FrederiqueConstant.com

A watch geek’s dream come true!
Just ordered one.
They have a 25% discount on their website right now which brings the cost down to just under $75
WOW That will sell like hotcakes. Can’t wait.
Can it be used with a desktop computer [i.e. Mac] rather than a smart phone?
For the love of God can someone link me directly to where I can buy this thing? I’ve spent all day trying to find it at frederiqueconstant.com and am about ready to go tell them to shove their clip up their.
You can find it here https://frederiqueconstant.com/analytics/
I received mine today and it absolutely does not work. The microphone is far too weak. When I plug the micro “tickoprint” which has an amplifier, the app works a few seconds, but then bug.
This is unfortunately worth nothing … pity, the price was interesting, not the rest.
