The Patek Philippe Nautilus 5711A Green Dial
When the Blue gets discontinued... the Olive Green makes its entrance!
A few months ago, Mr Stern, president of Patek Philippe, creating sort of a typhoon in the watch collecting community by announcing that the brand’s most sought-after, most successful (and unfortunately most premium-affected) watch, the stainless steel Nautilus 5711 blue dial, was about to be discontinued. Yet, Stern also announced that a final edition of this watch was coming, and here it is. Still the same case, bracelet and movement, still in stainless steel, but now with an olive green dial. Meet the new Patek Philippe Nautilus 5711/1A-014 Green.
The Philippe Nautilus 5711A is the most coveted of all luxury sports watches with its sister-from-another-mother, the Royal Oak. Both children of the 1970s, the Nautilus became an absolute success recently and a watch that was virtually impossible to acquire by using classic retailing paths. And because of this rather insane scheme on the market, Patek Philippe and his president Thierry Stern decided to simply… remove it from the collection. Indeed, the classic blue dial Patek Philippe Nautilus 5711/1A-10 is now gone. But in his latest interviews, Stern made sure that we’ll be prepared for what’s coming today, a final run of the 5711.
So, this “replacement” edition of the Nautilus 5711 is here, and it’s green – something that was somehow predictable. Basically, the watch is in all points identical to the previous blue version, meaning that this 5711/1A-014 comes in the all-time classic 40mm x 8.3mm stainless steel case, with brushed and polished surface, porthole-style design with lateral ears and 120m water-resistance.
No evolutions to be noted on the bracelet either, which is still the brushed and polished integrated stainless steel bracelet with folding clasp. And the movement is the calibre 26-330 S C, an automatic engine found in the 5711 since 2019 – an evolution of the 324 with several technical updates, such as a stop-seconds. Other than that, this movement is equipped with a 21k gold rotor, is stamped by the Patek Philippe Seal, runs at 4Hz and stores 35 to 45 hours of power reserve.
The real deal here, for this new Patek Philippe Nautilus 5711/1A-014, is the dial. If the blue is no more visible on the brand’s website, it is to make space for this new edition. Unprecedented in the Nautilus collection, it shows a nice tone of olive green, with the classic grooved pattern and a sunray-brushed finishing. The hands and indexes are identical otherwise and still made of white gold with luminescent material. The date window is still positioned at 3 o’clock on a white disc, but is now framed with a metallic insert.
Availability & price
The new Patek Philippe Nautilus 5711/1A-014 Green Dial is launched now and will be available as part of the permanent collection – but for how long…? It is not a limited edition. It will be priced at EUR 30,400.

This watch is useless because you can’t even get on waiting list. I called 4 authorized dealers in Canada lol. Why bother lol.
Looks like they made the nautilus to flip! Can’t get one to save my soul.
