Jaquet Droz Grande Seconde Quantieme 41mm

Previously available in 39m or 43mm, the Jaquet Droz Grande Seconde Quantième is the cornerstone of the collection, and to answer the needs of most enthusiasts, it is now available in a versatile 41mm diameter. The creation of this new intermediate size was the occasion to bring visual updates and to take a fresh approach to several design elements. The case proportions and profile (12.10mm) have been reworked to be lighter and more compatible with this new diameter. New finishes have also been introduced.

No fewer than seven models are being unveiled to form an entire collection of Grande Seconde Quantième 41mm timepieces. Four red gold models are decorated with grand feu enamel dials, a speciality of the Maison. In addition to the classic ivory tone, Jaquet Droz also innovates with deep blue, burgundy and anthracite enamel dials, fitted with alligator leather straps matching the colour of the dial. Each enamel shade was specially developed for the occasion, meticulously selecting enamel powders and perfecting firing techniques to produce the desired tones.

In addition to these striking red gold and enamel dial combinations, three dynamic steel references are introduced equipped with a matte black, a sandblasted titanium grey or a sandblasted silver dial. To complete their modern look, these three models are paired with velvet-textured calfskin straps.

These new editions of the Jaquet Droz Grande Seconde Quantième are still powered by the in-house Calibre JD 2660Q2, displaying off-centred hours and minutes in the upper half and an oversized sub-dial for the seconds at 6 o’clock, fitted with a concentric date indication. Thanks to two barrels, this automatic movement can store up to 68 hours of power reserve. Running at 28,800 vibrations/hour, the regulating organ is fitted with a silicon hairspring and silicon pallets. Visible via the exhibition caseback, the openwork oscillating weight comes either in gold or in heavy metal for the steel versions.
