JeanRichard Introduces the Neroscope – a Pitch Black Version of the Aeroscope
At Baselworld this year, our contributor Max Reddick got the chance to sit down with American hero, captain Captain Chesley “Sully” Sullenberger, who told us (click here for the interview) about the black JeanRichard Aeroscope that he wears. It’s a black Aeroscope with white font. JeanRichard just introduced a new version of the Aeroscope that is Neroscope. A pitch black version of the Aeroscope!
The brand new version of the Aeroscope that JeanRichard has just introduced, is an all black version of the Aeroscope. The name for this MONOCHROME beauty is Neroscope, a contraction of nero (black) and Aersoscope. That sounds like a very good name, because Monochrome-scope would sound kind of silly.
The new Neroscope is black, all black, meaning that, except for some grey words and numerals on the dial, everything is pitch black. It looks extremely stealthy and with the titanium case, which is sandblasted and got a nice vertical satin-finish before it was DLC coated, feels very light on the wrist. Especially on the supple rubber strap, it wears very comfortable.
This JeanRichard Neroscope has, like all JeanRichard timepieces, an in-house movement. Caliber JR66 is an automatic winding movement, measuring 12 ½ ligne, that beats at a rhythm of 28,800 vibrations/ hour (4 Hz). It has 43 jewels to keep everything moving smoothly and it offers 42 hours of power reserve when fully wound.
The Neroscope indicates time by means of a centrally positioned hour and minute hand and a small seconds hand at the 3 o’clock position. At 9 o’clock is the 30-minute counter and the chronograph’s 12-hour counter is placed at the 6 o’clock position. The large central seconds hand will be activated when the pusher at 2 o’clock is pushed; push the same pusher to stop the chronograph and the pusher at 4 o’clock will reset the central seconds hand and counters.
The date is also matching with the all-black color scheme; grey numerals printed on a black date disc. Before you study the specifications it is important to notice is that the Neroscope is a limited and numbered edition of just 500 pieces! It’ll come at a retail price of $ 6,200 USD.

are you sure the JR66 is in house? I hear it is based on the JR1000 with added dubois depraz module.
any chance you can clarify. I have to find any information online.
