Hi and thanks for visiting Monochrome. As of today we switched to an entirely new look, with many new navigational options. It should serve you better and enable you to find what you’re looking for much easier than before. And of course, we hope you like our new website! Let me briefly say a few more words about what’s going on here at Monochrome-Watches and what we have planned for the coming months.

However before I do that I’d like to introduce our associate editor Brice Goulard, who joined Monochrome early last year. Together with me, and a team of four contributors, we make sure that you are being served with all horological news that matters, with reviews of the most exclusive and beautiful timepieces and important historical background stories. Both on Monochrome, and on all our social media channels (Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest & Twitter).

In my first “Letter from the editor” I told you I was about to leave for my honeymoon, and the second “Letter from the Editor” was dedicated to two things: the switch from the old domain (monochrome.nl) to the new monochrome-watches.com and asking what you would like to see more on Monochrome. Your answers were clear, you want to see more reviews and more factory visits. So in the coming months, we’ll publish stories of the factory visits that we did last year and we’ll publish some highly remarkable reviews. The latter is something that we’ve done before, for instance with our review of the A. Lange & Söhne Double Split, or the Datograph, or the Lange 1. Besides such classical timepieces we also covered some more exotic models like the Hautlence HL Ti, the Roger Dubuis Pulsion Skeleton Tourbillon, the HYT H1 and the HYT H2 that we’ll publish later this week. Just browse or review section to see more of the magnificent watches that reviewed for you.

In a few weeks we’ll be going on our annual pilgrimage to Baselworld and we’ll report live from the fair. So stay tuned, here or on one of our social media channels, to keep up with the latest horological news!
