HYT H1 Evo Alu Blue

Two weeks ago we could show you a first novelty coming from HYT, the Hydro Mechanical Horologists. That was the H2 Titanium & White Gold Blue, and it looked simply STUNNING. Today we can show you more novelties, both in the H1 and H2 collection, and yes, they all look simply stunning. However, we do have a favorite!

And that favorite is limited to 50 pieces and features very striking electric-blue bezel and lugs. The blue material is called ALUN 316B, and no, we also have no idea what that exactly is. But it looks very cool and we’ll make sure to ask HYT more about it when we meet them at Baselworld.

HYT H1 Alumen Blue and Red 2

The other new H1 models is the H1 Red 2, which is also limited to 50 pieces, and comes with the familiar titanium case with brushed pink gold bezel and lugs. This one features retrograde red fluidic hours and a grey dial with pink gold indexes & numerals, and a pink gold minute hand. Without covering all technical details all over again, we like to refer to our previous article (see here) that covers every technical aspect and has answers to all your questions (hopefully).

All H1 models come in a 48.8 mm large case, that is 17.9 mm thick, and wears remarkably comfortable! The hours are always indicated by the retrograde fluidic hour “hand” and the minutes are indicated with an ordinary minute hand. The rubber-clad screw-lock crown, which is secured by a large crown guard, keeps that watch water-resistant to a depth of 100 meters.

Now on to the H2 novelties that we haven’t shown you before. Two weeks ago we could already show the striking H2 Titanium & White Gold Blue, today we can also show you the H2 Black DLC  & Pink Gold and the Titanium Platinum SQ. The H2 Black DLC & Pink Gold comes in a black DLC coated titanium case with 5N pink gold bezel and lugs. The earlier introduced H2 Titanium & White Gold Blue and the new H2 Titanium Platinum SQ both come in a titanium case with titanium lugs and the bezel is in either white gold or platinum.

HYT H2 2014 novelties

The H2 models come in a case with similar dimensions as the H1 models: 48.8 mm in diameter and 17.9 mm in height. The H2 models are not water-resistant to 100 meters, but to 50 meters, although they feature a similar crown and crown guard construction. They come with an impressive engine that offers 192-hour (8-day) power reserve and looks like a Harley Davidson engine block…
