Maurice Lacroix Aikon Venturer Limited Edition and #timecode Treasure Hunt

Presented ahead of Baselworld 2019, the Maurice Lacroix Aikon Venturer is a fortified/sportier version of the Aikon, the brand’s affordable take on the steel luxury sports watch. Fitted with a unidirectional rotating bezel, it aims at offering a combination of functionality and style shifting the model’s focus to a more adventurous aesthetic.

The launch of the new Aikon Venturer limited edition is connected with an interactive treasure hunt (#timecode). Organized in 10 different cities, it will allow participants to win watches. In each city, for eight days, players will need to collect time codes and activate these on their smartphone. These time codes will appear in different places. These can be located thanks to clues and social media.

Presented in steel, the limited edition watch is based on the blue version of the Aikon Venturer. 43mm in diameter, it comes with a dynamic blue sunray-brushed dial paired with orange luminescent hour markers. The angular case is water-resistant to 300m. Its rotating bezel features the Aikon collection’s signature six claws and a ceramic insert. The Maurice Lacroix Aikon Venturer is powered by the automatic ML115 calibre displaying the hours, minutes, seconds and the date at 3 o’clock. Based on the tried-and-tested Sellita SW200, it ticks at 4 Hz with a 38-hour power reserve.

The Aikon Venturer is a limited edition of 500 watches. It is delivered both with an integrated blue leather strap with orange stitching and a 5-row steel bracelet with a butterfly clasp. As with all Aikon watches, the brand’s easy change system allows you to swap the strap/bracelet and to change the personality of your watch in seconds, with no tool required.
