Monochrome Now on Watchville App
Of course Monochrome is not the only website dedicated to bring you the latest news about the world of watchmaking. However we’re unique in bringing you news, reviews and historical stories about the absolute high-end of the spectrum of watchmaking, with a strong focus on explaining every nitty gritty detail about the beauty of hand-made watches. As of this week you can read all our stories can and stories from a selection of the finest watch blogs out there in one App: enter Watchville App.
The Watchville App, which is available for iOS and Android, pulls in news stories from top watch blogs and watch websites like aBlogtoWatch, Hodinkee, Watchtime and Monochrome Watches. Although we would love to be able to share more news with you but also for us every day has only 24 hours. Besides that, here at Monochrome, we already make a strict selection of what to write about and what not to write about. So in fact, you’re getting to see our selection of what we consider to be the most beautiful watches out there, and the coolest and most rugged vintage tool watches that have helped professionals in their daily activities, when mechanical watches were the norm (just think of our in-depth review, with all important historical information, of the Omega PloProf that we published recently.)
Besides keeping up to date with news, reviews and background stories about watches, the Watchville App packs another, very nice, feature! There’s an atomic time setting tool, which syncs in real time to over 100 atomic time servers, and you can use it to sync your watch. If you have a watch with a moon phase indication, than no worries, there’s a monthly moon phase indicator as well, and for those with a perpetual calendar watch, the App also indicates the leap years. Other features include an audible minute countdown, UTC time, an article sharing tool and reader mode for easy mobile reading.
Best of all… it’s free for you to download! Visit the watchville.co website for links to the Apple App store or Google Play.
