Only Watch Charity Auction Returns in 2021

Only Watch is a unique initiative created by Luc Pettavino. This charity timepiece auction held every two years brings together the biggest names of the industry to benefit research on muscular dystrophy. The ninth edition of this charity auction, Only Watch 2021, will take place on Saturday, 6 November 2021. Unique timepieces created by over 50 of the world’s best watchmakers will be offered to raise funds. 

Every two years since 2007, Only Watch auctions unique timepieces to raise funds for a good cause: research for Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy. Under the Patronage of His Serene Highness Prince Albert II of Monaco, Only Watch was founded and is organised by Luc Pettavino, President of the Association Monégasque Contre les Myopathies. 

This charitable initiative brings together the biggest names of the industry. With over EUR 70 million raised since 2005, Only Watch has not only become a highly respectable charity auction, but also an important event in the international horological calendar. The 2019 edition alone raised over 38 million, in particular with a unique Patek Philippe Grandmaster Chime in stainless steel, which became the world’s most expensive watch ever auctioned, with a hammer price of 31 million Swiss Francs.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, it is too early to communicate the complete Only Watch calendar. Conditions permitting, the collection will depart for its world tour beginning at the Monaco Yacht Show from 22 to 25 September. The watches will be auctioned on Saturday, 6 November 2021 by Christie’s in Geneva.
