For When You Really Want to wear an Apple Watch, here’s the Sinn Dual Strap System

Surprise, surprise, we here at Monochrome are not into smart watches, connected watches or any of those wrist-buzzers and step counters. The number of times we cover smart watches are brought back to the bare minimum. That’s for various reasons, but most importantly A) it doesn’t do anything (for us) in terms of emotion, and B) we would rather not attempt to talk about something that we don’t know anything about and we’re no tech-editors. However! For those who REALLY want to wear the Apple Watch, the German watch brand Sinn came up with something rather nifty: the Sinn Dual Strap System.

I honestly couldn’t personally imagine wearing a buzzing, vibrating step counter on my wrist, because that’s the functionality that I prefer to have on my mobile phone. That phone can be in my pocket, or on the table, it can be turned off, or switched to silent, whatever is appropriate at the time. I don’t need this on the wrist. But that’s me. However there’s a solution for people who want to wear an Apple Watch and also don’t want to renounce their beloved (mechanical) watch. The German watch brand Sinn came up with a set of straps that together offer the possibility to wear the ‘proper’ watch on three pieces of strap, or to switch to wearing two timepieces, being a Sinn and an Apple Watch. Here’s how it works…

We’re not going to tell you that you need to wear an Apple Watch, however when you’re torn between these two option, this Sinn Double Strap System could just be an option for you. More info at the Sinn Watches website.

  1. A funny idea indeed…I wonder how the (supposedly) strong magnetic fields of the apple device will affect the mechanical watch….
