Revolution Online’s Cartier forum started one year ago today

Usually it’s no ‘biggy’ when a forum exists one year, however we from Monochrome have become fan of the Cartier forum at Revolution Online. To celebrate this we listed our favorite posts for you!

Revolution Online’s Cartier forum is a magnificent place where you can read and learn a lot about the brand. Most people think of the Tank Francaise or Santos 100 when talking about Cartier watches, as well as old Tank ‘vermeille’. It was Cartier moderator GEO, who tought me there is soooo much more to Cartier’s watch history.

Cartier has an incredible rich history when it comes to watches. Not only the gorgeous Collection Prive Cartier Paris (or CPCP) that was replaced by the Fine Watchmaking Collection. Some even say that Cartier made the very first wrist watch ever, with the Santos Dumont.

GEO also wrote about the immense popularity of the Cartier Santos when it was released in steel/gold in 1978. This more affordable downgrade of the Santos Dumont became one of the most copied watches in the world.
