SIHH 2018 – Chabi Nouri of Piaget, On The New Collection
Live from SIHH 2018 - Piaget's charming CEO talks about the brand's highlights including the mind-boggling Altiplano Ultimate Concept
Records are made to be broken. But the record, or actually the two records, that Piaget just set will most likely not be broken anytime soon. First, there was the Altiplano Ultimate Automatic 910P, which is now the thinnest automatic winding watch in the world, and then there’s the mind-boggling 2mm thick Altiplano Ultimate Concept. Piaget’s charming CEO Chabi Nouri talks with us about these two stunners and the highlights of Piaget’s ladies collection.
I guess I’m still blown away by Piaget’s technical achievement of what is now the world’s thinnest watch, the Altiplano Ultimate Concept. Being a concept watch, it will not be for sale, however, the brand created three of them and they are all working perfectly. Besides being a showcase of the brand’s historical feats, ultra-thin watches is what Piaget excels in, this also pushed them to develop new techniques that can, and will, find their way into the normal collection.
But there’s more, as Piaget also excels in magnificently crafted ladies watches. We’re not talking about watches from the men’s collection that now come with a diamond set bezel, but real ladies watches that have been designed as such. Think spectacularly crafted bracelets and real jewels for the wrist that also tell the time.
