TAG Heuer Monaco 50th Anniversary, From the Origins to The Future
Looking back at one of the most iconic chronograph watches, created half a century ago: the MONACO!
#Monaco50 it is! As TAG Heuer has just unveiled the fifth and last watch in the 50-year commemorative collection, the Monaco 2009-2019 model, reviewed here, it is now time for us to finally publish our latest video project: TAG Heuer Monaco 50th Anniversary, From the Origins to The Future!
This year, 2019, TAG Heuer is celebrating the 50th anniversary of one of its most iconic models, a chronograph distinguished by its signature square case, its racing inspirations, its equally iconic Calibre 11 movement; the Heuer Monaco, which would later become the TAG Heuer Monaco… The watch worn by Steve McQueen in the 1971 Le Mans movie – it’s undeniable that the ‘King of Cool’ helped cultivate the legend surrounding the TAG Heuer Monaco.
In this in-depth movie to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the TAG Heuer Monaco, we’ll cover this chronograph watch from its origins, to the present models and the 50-year limited editions, as well as the future of this incredible, legendary, iconic watch.
For this #Monaco50 movie, our guest will be the great and oh-so-knowledgeable Catherine Eberlé-Devaux (Heritage Director at TAG Heuer), a good friend of ours and one of the greatest Heuer collectors and experts, Arno Haslinger, and finally Guy Bove (TAG Heuer Product Director) – presented by the one and only Frank Geelen, MONOCHROME’s founder. Enjoy this new, in-depth and passion-infused video!
