Millennium Watch Book

The past 20 years have been a particularly rich period for the watchmaking world. Fortunately, a new book is being published which aims to provide a comprehensive reference for industry professionals as well as for those who simply love beautiful watches. Here’s the Millennium Watch Book.

The Millennium Watch Book is a collective work assembled by Swiss publisher Brice Lechevalier of GMT publishing and written in collaboration with 25 international experts – our Swiss Editor Xavier Markl is one of the writers to have contributed to this 300-page opus. This coffee table book is composed of 20 themed chapters and is lavishly illustrated with over 1,000 photos.

It explores the most prevalent themes that have marked the world of watches since 2000: Which chronographs and technical materials have marked these two decades? What is the story behind the rise of independent watchmakers, the use of silicon and the development of the pre-owned watch market? It also presents 80 figures that have marked the industry over these 20 years.
