Graham Chronofighter Vintage 25th anniversary

Named after illustrious English clockmaker Georges Graham, the brand with the eponymous name was created in 1995 by Eric Loth. To celebrate its 25th anniversary, the brand releases a limited edition of its Chronofighter. Inspired by WWII bomb-timer instruments, this non-conformist chronograph stands out with its distinctive fast action lever, which enables the start/stop of the chronograph even with gloved hands. For this occasion, Graham picked the Vintage Chronofighter, a version featuring a redesigned start/stop trigger, an onion crown and mushroom reset pusher to reconnect the model with its roots and more traditional pilot attributes.

Born in the early 2000s and inspired by military chronographs, the Graham Chronofighter was a radical departure from the typical luxury watch. Even today, this bold, aggressive design remains a striking statement on the wrist and makes for a compelling conversation starter. The Chronofighter Vintage 25th Anniversary is a faithful reproduction of the original 2001 model. It features a similar matte black dial, with a bi-compax layout and snailed registers – with the small seconds at 3 o’clock and a 30-minute register at 9 o’clock. Together with the lime-green Super-LumiNova-coated hour markers, numerals and hands, it offers excellent readability. The main difference is the size of the watch. The steel case is 44mm versus 43mm for the original 2001 Chronofighter, which was a truly impressive size back then. It now also features an exhibition caseback.

The back of this Graham Chronofighter Vintage 25th Anniversary is engraved with the limited edition number and the 25th-anniversary logo. The sapphire crystal reveals the automatic G1722 chronograph, a reliable workhorse based on the Valjoux 7750. It runs at 28,800 vibrations per hour and it boasts 48 hours of power reserve when fully wound. Its precision is certified by the COSC (the Swiss chronometer testing institute). It features traditional finishes with Geneva stripes and blued screws.

  1. If I was over 6 foot and had an 8 inch wrist and the price was a lotttt lower, then as a novel ,fun, tough guy watch ,yep.

  2. Second look, it reminds me of the lighters from way back in the day. They would have loved this then, as both a small table clock and a lighter , neat !

  3. Noticed the supply is limited to 25 pieces ..Good…Not really interested in this one but as they say..to each its own…..
