Jaeger-LeCoultre launched a limited edition of 25 pieces, engraved with the Sterling Cooper Draper Pryce logo; the advertisement agency of the series Mad Men.

It’s no secret that we here at Monochrome are  fan of the new Jaeger-LeCoultre Grande Reverso Ultra-Thin. While we don’t write about television series we can tell you, that we are huge fans of Mad Men. So how cool would it be to own one of 25 pieces with their logo engraved in the case back? Very cool!

From wikipedia: Mad Men is set in the 1960s, initially at the fictional Sterling Cooper advertising agency on Madison Avenue in New York City, and later at the newly created firm of Sterling Cooper Draper Pryce. The focal point of the series is Don Draper, creative director at Sterling Cooper and a founding partner at Sterling Cooper Draper Pryce, and the people in his life, both in and out of the office. As such, it regularly depicts the changing moods and social mores of 1960s America.

The limited edition will be presented in a custom-designed walnut commemorative box featuring the Sterling Cooper Draper Pryce logo embossed on the top as well as hand-inscribed on the back of each numbered piece.

Additionally, each piece includes a personalized commemorative letter from Roger Sterling, several high quality Jaeger-LeCoultre advertisement reproductions, pictures of the Grande Reverso Ultra-Thin Tribute to ‘Mad Men’, and a copy of Roger Sterling’s book ‘Sterling’s Gold’. From who? Yes you read it correct, from Roger Sterling… the whiskey-drinking, chain-smoking character in the series, who has ‘thing’ going on with Joan Harris, the lovely office manager and head of the secretarial pool.

Mad Men is an absolute treat, the story is very entertaining, the characters get the chance to grow and everything about the set (furniture, cloths, cars, accessories and houses) is designed with great care and looks like it’s from the specific time era.

That’s why the Reverso suits this series so well. In the sixties men wore a nice and elegant watch, of entirely different dimensions as watches in the seventies or now-a-days. We think this is a perfect match.

But just 25 people can be the lucky owner of one of the custom-created and numbered pieces of the Grande Reverso Ultra-Thin Tribute to ‘Mad Men’. The 25 pieces will be available in February 2012.
