This piece unique will be presented tomorrow at the opening of the ‘Marcus Anniversary Exhibition’ in London, along with several special pieces from other brands. The Marcus Anniversary Exhibition coincides with the London Olympics.

The Olympics are of course a perfectly good reason to visit London, just to witness such a landmark event. And knowing what Marcus has on display during the exhibition and all the ‘Marcus’ limited editions and ‘Marcus’ unique pieces are already enough reason to visit London! One of these unique pieces is this gorgeous HM4 from MB&F.

The Marcus Anniversary Exhibition marks three different events: Marcus’ late father’s arrival in England 80 years ago, the opening of the Marcus store 10 years ago, and Marcus’ 70th birthday. The exhibition showcases specifically commissioned unique pieces, limited editions and a collection of Haute Joaillerie by Audemars Piguet, Blancpain, Breguet, Hublot, MB&F, Urwerk, Greubel Forsey, Richard Mille, Franck Muller and Piaget.

I find this MB&F HM4 ‘Marcus’ extremely appealing; the black ‘jet engine’ shapes look very stealthy and somehow seem to match perfectly with the design. After the original HM4 Double Trouble and XX XX that referred to World War II military airplanes, this ‘Marcus’ unique piece takes the HM4 from WW-II straight to Battle Star Galactica.

The HM4 ‘Marcus’ is made in black coated titanium. On a few screws, rods and the flexible strap attachment are still in steel and not black coated.

The exhibition will also feature a magnificent and rare collection of seventy vintage timepieces by Audemars Piguet dating from 1899 to 1970. Marcus Anniversary Exhibition is from 3rd July until 2nd Oct 2012 in London. Marcus Watches is one of MB&F’s retail partner in London and you can visit them at 170 New Bond Street, London W1, UK.

Let’s be honest, this is a heck of way to celebrate the several occasions!

Here’s a link to Marcus’ website, were you can see an impressive number of limited editions from Audemars Piguet, Corum, Hublot and Richard Mille! Definitely check that out!
