A few years ago it was an absolute rarity: a triple-axis tourbillon; a tourbillon that rotates around three axis. Thomas Prescher was the one who successfully created it first. Last year, Vianney Halter introduced his Deep Space Tourbillon, which also features a triple axis tourbillon. Now Girard-Perregaux join this illustrious company and will introduce their Tri-Axial Tourbillon coming Wednesday. Today… a first revealing glimpse in a teaser video.

Let’s have a look at the video, and especially at some still that we made. The video shows how the tri-axial tourbillon is placed visible under a dome, which is set into the sapphire crystal. This positioning allows a view on the triple axis tourbillon from more sides than usually. In its rotations the tourbillon comes above the level of the dial.

Through an aperture in the side of the case, which seems to be pink gold, the tri-axial tourbillon can be admired as well.

And last but not least, its face, featuring an off-centre dial for hours and minutes, a large triple axis tourbillon to the left, and a power resreve indicator positioned below the hours/minutes dial. This is the new Girard-Perregaux Tri-Axial Tourbillon. More info and photos in a few days!
