Founded in 2000, Room to Read is a non-profit organisation helping children in Asia and Africa to get access to the education they deserve. In the frame of their different initiatives to support Room to Read, H. Moser & Cie. asked the kids of two classes receiving educational support in India and Sri Lanka to create drawings. Among all the illustrations, those of Arif from Mumbai and Kasun living in Sri Lanka were chosen to be featured on unique pieces that will be auctioned for charity.

The two unique pieces are white gold Endeavour Centre Seconds Automatic models. The children’s drawings were faithfully reproduced by a miniature painting artist on the dial. The exhibition casebacks reveal the automatic calibre HMC 200 and are engraved with the Room to Read and Unique Piece captions. The dial featuring Arif’s drawing is paired with a brown kudu (antelope leather) strap, while the one featuring Kasun’s illustration is matched with a black kudu strap.

The two unique pieces will be auctioned during the two fundraising galas organised by Room to Read in London on October 3rd (Kasun’s design) and Zurich on November 9th (Arif’s design). Room to Read will dedicate a Sri Lankan children’s book and a library in India to the respective buyers of the unique timepieces.
